HomeRAB® PreClad™ Lining is a 4.5mm thick fibre cement sheet sealed on the face and edges and is used as a rigid air barrier on residential buildings. HomeRAB® PreClad™ Lining is manufactured in New Zealand using James Hardie’s CLD® Fibre Cement Technology which is a composition of cellulose fibre, Portland cement, sand, ceramics and water. It complies with the requirements of AS/NZS 2908.

Design/Looks

HomeRAB® PreClad™ Lining is an alternative to traditional building wraps used in residential buildings and provides the benefits of an extra weathertightness, improved thermal resistance and acoustic performance at the same time.

HomeRAB® PreClad™ Lining is a 4.5mm thick fibre cement sheet sealed on the face and edges and is used as a rigid air barrier on residential or semi commercial buildings. HomeRAB® PreClad™ Lining is manufactured in New Zealand and complies with the requirements of AS/NZS 2908. It’s is suitable to withstand wind pressures experienced in wind zones as specified in NZS 3604 up to very high wind zone.

HomeRAB® PreClad™ Lining has been tested to comply with the performance requirements of New Zealand Building Code (NZBC) Acceptable Solution E2/AS1, Table 23. It is also suitable for use as structural bracing element as is tested as per P21 test method.

Features/Benefits

  • With HomeRAB® PreClad™ Lining installed the building can be left exposed to external elements for 90 days allowing flexibility to install and finish the cladding within this period.

  • Water repellent sealer applied on the face and edges helps to dispose of moisture quickly and resists moisture penetration.
